Beyond the Pink was built on trust. When you shop with us, read a Warrior Story, or share our page with a friend, you become part of something that gives back to Oklahoma cancer patients and their families. We believe you deserve to know exactly how that giving works, where the money goes, and who it helps. This page is where we lay it all out.
Each month, one Featured Guest tells their story on our site. At the close of that month, the Featured Guest chooses a local Oklahoma charity or nonprofit that serves cancer patients and families. Twenty-five percent of that month’s shop proceeds go directly to the charity they chose.
This is not a pooled fund and it is not held over from month to month. Every month has its own guest, its own charity, and its own contribution. The person whose story you read helps decide where the support lands.
We chose 25% because it is a number we can honor every month while keeping the shop running, restocking the materials we use to handcraft our products, and continuing to grow the mission. As Beyond the Pink grows, we want that number to grow with it.
The 25% is calculated from total shop proceeds during the feature month. This includes sales from all product categories on our site. Shipping costs, sales tax, and payment processing fees are not part of the calculation, since those funds do not stay with us. Everything else on the receipt counts.
We track sales day by day and close out the numbers at the end of each feature month. Once the total is set, the contribution is sent to the chosen charity within thirty days.
Only two rules shape where the monthly contribution goes. First, the organization must be based in Oklahoma. Second, its work must serve cancer patients, cancer families, or the care teams around them. Once those two boxes are checked, the Featured Guest chooses the name, and we send the contribution directly to that organization.
