Our Stories

The Heart Behind Every Story We Share

At Beyond the Pink- Dragon Slaying Cancer Assassin, we believe every story matters. The people living with cancer, the families walking beside them, and the loved ones carrying grief all deserve a place where their voices are heard. Our Stories is that place. Each month, we feature one Survivor or one Warrior story, and we invite you to read, share, and stand with them.

How the Monthly Feature Works

Each month we choose one Featured Guest to share their story on our site. Their story lives with us for the whole month, giving readers time to know them, cheer for them, and support them. At the end of the month, the Featured Guest picks a local Oklahoma charity or nonprofit that benefits cancer patients or their families in some fashion to receive 25% of the shop proceeds from that month.

That means every purchase during the month goes toward the charity that the Featured Guest has chosen. One story becomes direct support for someone else who is walking a hard road.

Survivor Stories

A Survivor story is told by the person who lived through cancer. It can cover the day of diagnosis, the days in treatment, the slow return to daily life, or the years that came after. There is no single way to tell a Survivor story, and no story is too big or too small to share with us.

Warrior Stories

A Warrior story is shared by the family, spouse, child, or close friend of someone who has passed. These stories honor the person at the center and give the people who love them a place to speak. We hold each story with care.

Why We Share These Stories

Cancer can make us feel invisible. It pulls us out of daily life and into waiting rooms, labs, , treatment rooms, hospital beds, and quiet moments no one else sees. When someone shares their story, they remind others that they are not alone. They also remind the rest of us to keep showing up.

Every story we publish becomes part of our mission to support Oklahoma cancer patients and families. The stories carry the giving forward, and that leads the stories back into homes across the state. When a reader finds a reflection of their own experience in a story on this page, we have done what we set out to do.

Share a Story Us

We are accepting Survivor and Warrior stories for publication. If you have a story you want to tell, or if you know someone whose story deserves to be heard, we want to hear from you. There is no rush. There is no pressure.

You can reach us through the contact form on our site or send us a note by email. We will walk with you from the first message, to the day your story goes live, to the day we make a donation in your name. Every story we publish begins with one person deciding to share, and every reader who finds it becomes part of what happens next.
