We started this as a Christmas/Thank you for Tracy and Mike. They have been instrumental in my cancer recover journey. They have helped Jason and me find our way back to married life after three years of chaos that changed both of us in unexpected ways.
Tracy once shared a philosophy of hers as a former oncology nurse:
“In saving our patient’s lives, we’ve broken parts of it. It is our job to help fix what we broke. What’s the point in giving them back their lives if they can’t live them?”
I had the idea to create their business logo as a quilt back in June. We methodically gathered all the materials and created the pattern from their logo to be able to do this. Then discovered we would be moving to Maine. Our timeline was significantly shortened!
We changed tactics and created the quilt in a different fashion than originally intended. But it was still made with all the love and the care, with the concern and the thought that they so richly deserve.
Mike sent a text last night:
“That is one BIG quilt! It covers the bed, both nightstands, a chair, and part of the dog kennel!”
Well… as long as it covers two of my favorite people.
